Who Can Join

There are many ways to become a member of UARK Federal Credit Union:

  • Community - Anyone who lives, works, worships, attend schools, own a business or volunteer within the City of Fayetteville

  • Employee - Any employee who works for a UARK Preferred Business

  • Family - Immediate family of an existing UARK member

  • Support Community - You can become a Humane Society of the Ozarks member by donating $25 to join our support of animal protection

We’re not just for them, but for you too! Once you join, you’re a member for life, regardless of where you live, work or go to school.

How Do I Join

As required by the USA Patriot Act, below is some important information about procedures for opening a new account. 

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record all information that identifies each person who opens an account. 

What this means to you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth , other information that will allow us to identify you.

We will also need the following:

  • Your Social Security Number

  • A Government Issued ID (e.g. Unexpired Driver’s License)

  • Your funding account information. A $5 deposit is required to establish membership.

Before we start

If you’re not a U.S. Citizen, not a U.S. resident, or under 18, you’ll have to join by visiting a local branch.

SELECT EMPLOYEE GROUP

Becoming a Select Employee Group (SEG) or associational group is easy.  An application letter will be required and should include the following on your company letterhead. We have provided a sample letter to use or you can provide your own.

The following information is required on company letterhead:

  • A statement verifying your organization seeks to establish an ongoing business relationship to offer financial benefits for your employees.

  • A statement verifying your organization is either not presently using the services of any other credit union or uses the services of another credit union (please name the credit union).

  • The number of employees in your organization.

  • A statement verifying the organization will safeguard the confidentiality of all information shared between UARK Federal Credit Union and the organization.

  • A statement of your proximity to UARK’s nearest branch (ex: 10 miles).

  • A contact name, phone number and authorized signature.

If your group is affiliated with another credit union, please be aware you can be affiliated with more than one credit union.  

You may return the letter by fax to 479-521-1193, mail it to: P.O. Box 10260, Fayetteville, AR 72703, drop it off at any branch location or email aidan@uarkfcu.com.

As a Select Employee Group (SEG) employees and their immediate family members have access to all the products and services UARK offers.  There is no cost to the employer to become a SEG.
